Since our last installment, I've solved my "need a tow vehicle" problem

Now, any advice on actually trailering the car? Several local shops (e.g. U-haul) rent flat-bed vehicle trailers, so that would be the preferred method if others have had good results towing with them?

Thanks, Ben ('98M3'00M5'01GP1200R'01LX470'01RT/10AndNoGarageSpaceLeft!)

There have been quite a few threads about this topic. Do a search for "trailer" and you'll get some good ideas.

All the discussions I found seemed to be about buying a trailer. Clearly, most people don't live in the San Francisco Peninsula, where the cost of the trailer is dwarfed by the cost of the space to house it! I'm trying to figure out where to rent a trailer to move the Viper, and am casting about for ideas / experiences.

Hi Ben, I haven't had the need to tow the Viper yet, but I used the U-Haul tandem car hauler to tow my 1969 Vette 427/435 roadster to shows. It worked great, very easy to load, but with a Viper I'd check the clearance on the ramps you might need a 2X4. You get your rollbar yet? Will I see you in Monterey on Sat.?
