Does anyone have the socket size for the upper ball joints on our cars? I can't find reference anywhere, and there are multiple sizes for Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. I've seen mention of using a large crescent wrench, but would like to have the socket.

Mac makes a tool for the square top of the ball joints, it is a MAC SC30, traditional 12 point does not fit. The other option would be a 2-1/8" open end?

Mark, I'm confused... Isn't that MAC tool 2-9/16"?

Thanks, Tom. Looks like that tool is also 2-9/16" and has several equivalents through other manufacturers. Am I looking at the size incorrectly?

It seem the equivalent sockets list at 2-1/8", 2-9/64", and 2-9/16"... Strange.

try a otc 8034- if you dont use this socket every day, a otc will be the bang for the buck

Found a Sunex on ToolSource for cheaper than OTC, SK, MAC, and SnapOn. I don't plan on using it much.
