I was at a closing the other day when my attorney friend looked outside and saw that I was in my Bentley GT Coupe. He said, "What is that you are driving?" I said, "its the Bentley, normally I would be in my Viper on such a pretty day, but it is in the shop getting a new engine." He said, "If I were you I would drive that Bentley everyday, the Bentley is the real deal, the Viper is more of a gimmick." 
I just looked at him
. I told him actually the Bentley is more of a gimmick. I told him that the Bentley is actually an overpriced status car w/ all kinds of instrumentation I would never use in a hundred years. The Viper is simply a true red-blooded in your face raw unapologetic no nonsense horsepower sports car. It is as American as you can get. I told him the only reason you may think the Viper is a gimmick is b/c most sports cars have strayed away from what a sports car is supposed to be. I see just as many housewives (no disrepect to the ladies) in Vettes and Mustangs and Ferrari's as I do at PTA meetings and at MAD rallies. 
I told him, "If you think my Viper is a gimmick, lets go for a ride when she comes home from Tators....trust me, there will be nothing gimmicky about how she accelerates and pins your wimp-ass to the seat, and how she corners and handles overall.
There is nothing gimmicky about Harleys.
There is nothing gimmicky about patriotism.
There is nothing gimmicky about Vipers.
Some people just dont get it.
