Have my tank out, going to replace the Walbro pump that is less than a year old, which was installed by PBJ. Anything else I should replace while I have the tank out?

I cannot believe this pump only lived for about 1800 miles.

Sorry to hear about the problems Marty.
Wonder how many miles were on the pump before you got it...;)

Update, just spoke to TI Auto, who makes the Walbro, and there is known issue with the F20000169 pump. They are not shipping them currently until they fix the issue, which will be 2-3 weeks.

Anyone have any thoughts on a similar in tank pump?

Whattttt.!!!.. I just put (2)-255 Walbros in my 01. I guess there is only one way to check the numbers.... Great...

I am sure TI Auto will pay the labor to change them out...NOT. Martyb, did they say when the "problem" started.

BTW... what is the "problem" I can look for?

tree, let me know the exact part number that you used. Walbro has a ton of 255 pumps, i just put a 340 in my car today, and that fixed my issue, amen!! Its so nice when a plan comes together. Putting the tank bank in an RT/10 is a pain though, jesus.

TI did not say when the problem started, but they did say it will be several weeks before they ship any more. Sent you a PM tree

Yes, it is worth it to change the regulator. It also acts as the check valve and when it fails, the fuel line drains back into the tank. Then you have the long cranking issue because the pump has to refill the line before any fuel gets to the engine.

99R/T10,

They did not offer to swap it out or give a refund
