Want to buy a 97 Blue and White

I am looking for a 97 blue and white coupe. Price depends on condition and miles. I am not looking for a perfect car with no miles but I dont want one that is wrecked. I would take one with a bad engine and a good body. I have the money and dont need permission from my wife, so if you are thinking about selling one, let me know. Thanks

The other 97 with 25 miles recently sold on ebay for $60,100. I don't believe it had a warranty. This car with a 3 year warranty is also a $60K car and should be very close to $60K by auction end. Amazing that the dealer has lifted the reserve at $55k which is cheap for this car whereas most dealers are retail or superretail (overinflated) and would sit with the car until they got their price. Bidders that know how to bid properly will snipe this with 5 seconds to go and guessing this car will sell in the 59's. JMHO.

There is one in Erie PA...and 1996 though....with 3K miles that you can buy for $50,000. Talked to the guy yesterday.

96 3K miles for $50K? Great price. Probably would get more than that on ebay. XLR8, try to find a better deal than this, I bet you won't.

1669 dealer miles. I don't consider that brand new. I'd be very sceptical.

According to the guy I spoke with last week...the car is local and was traded in. It is bone stock and has been in a warehouse in storage since the end of last summer. They have had the car for "a long time" and want to sell it. I told the guy a group of us would be passing through on the way to Chuck Tators in a few weeks and would check it out if it was still available. Let me know if you want a contact number.

car is at a dealer........why ru opposed to a dealer..we've already decided it's one hell of a price...and if you depending on how you were purchasing they may also be able to help with better financing options.

Thanks for the info Chad. I dont like to buy from a dealer. If it was a 97 I would make an exception, but since it is a 96 I am going to hold out a little longer for a 97. I dont want to finance a Viper so that is no help. Also if I buy from an private party I dont have to pay any sales tax. In AZ that is another 8%.

Couldn't the dealer sell it to you personally? If it was in his dealerships name, couldn't they transfer ownership to the dealer personally who then sells it to you? Or is that too much hassle?

One more thing, how is it possible in this tax insatiable country, can you buy a car and cut out state sales tax? Its written in the constitution (or is it the ten commandments) that all local, state, and federal entities tax you till your eyeballs, or testicles, explode, whichever comes first.

You're not gonna believe this...i just searched autotrader.com and the car is gone! it was a pick of a black '97 gts....but when i called on it..that car was sold and they told me about the '96 which was not advertised. the car is at a dealership in erie pa. i would suggest searching zip codes from that area and locating it that way on autotrader.com. i didn't have time so seach through...there are a ton of vipers!! good luck man. it has to be there somewhere.
