What did you pay for your SRT10? I hope this is not to personal of a question but trying to get a feel for what dealers are selling them for.
There is an 04 that has been sitting on a dealers lot/showroom for close to a year now and he is trying to get a little over invoice for it. It does seem to have some bad water spots in the paint that would require some major buffing and possibly a wet sand to remove that turns me off. He tells me he has dealer beating down his door for the car, ya right.

Not to get off track but followed one down 95 today and cannot figure out what all the haters don't like about the car, it is definetly worthy of the Viper emblem. :2tu:

My 2005 that had been at the dealer for only 2 weeks cost me $78,800.

A 2004 will get you about $6,000 less than a 2005 at trade-in or resale time so if you are considering a leftover 2004, it had better cost about $6,000 less than my 2005 did. If not - walk.

I could not figure that either, the car totally rocks! Incredibly cool looking, I guess that they hate it 'cause they dont have one :)

Well, it took me 5 years to get used to the C5, now I dig it.

What are the best dealers or is it better to search ebay for the best deal and go with that dealer?

You should be able to purchase a new '04 for no more than $73K as most dealers are desparately trying to move these cars. A new '05 (Silver Mamba excluded) should go for about $76K - $77K.

Kind of a personal question but what the heck..

I bought my 04 in December 04 with 797 miles on it (used). The in service date was 5/2004. I paid $67,000 ALL IN (taxes, title, reg, everything)..

Paid 8k off sticker for an 04 in Dec 04, got it from a dealer who had four on lot for a long time. One of the four was totaled by a lawyer test driving it in first gear only.

"I see dealers taking 10,000 off sticker"

Invoice for 04 and 05 is around 76 to 78k . Sticker is around 83k to 91k.

Bought my SRT new, (Mamba) for $78900. plus tax. Sticker was 91k, sale price 85k, reality price was $500.00 over invoice. I showed the dealer prices from around the nation selling for $77k to 79k for a new 04 and $79k for a new 05.

I paid 78,850 in 2004 for a brand new SRT-10. (including gas guzzler tax, not including local sales tax.)

$57,800 for a 2003 with 3k miles, 7/72 bumper to bumper warranty, car cover, and trunk kit. I think I bought it four months ago or so.

$78,000 last month for an '05(plus sales tax). It was taken off the truck and
handed right over. They also installed the 2" lowering kit for free. Deal was
if I didn't fit I wouldn't buy, pretty nice of the dealer I thought.

Hell, of course I did! Why invite the sharks in? lol The car had a couple of scuffs under the nose, which is fairly normal, but was in perfect shape otherwise! ;)

I do gotta give you props on that one. I was talking with the guy about the car (at the time I was considering importing one into Canada) and I said forget it when I read your post lol.

See! It worked! It sucked to have to fill you guys full of it, but I wanted the car, and I didn't need the price to get inflated! I'm sorry, fellas! I DO love the car! ;)

There is an black 04 here in Cincinnati that has been sitting for over a year. Last time I checked (about 4 months ago) they would take 1K over invoice.

I drove by the dealer about 2 weeks ago. Unless it sold and was replaced by another black one...it is still in the showroom.
