what is wrong with the 1999 gts oil pan

i was informed that theres is some sort of a problem with the oil pans on the 1999 vipers.

Anyone know what it is?

hmmm, not sure. My 00 gts had a cracked oil pan, had to get it replaced .

There was one year where some of the oil pans had a problem with porosity. They would leech out oil even though the gaskets were not an issue.

only holds 8.5 quartes of oil.

I up-graded years ago to the larger pan plus a tech found the gasket leaking slightly before I changed pans. You might want to call Dodge service and see if they have a service bulletin regarding that pan.

Not enough oil and lack of trap doors for track day use. GTS Bruce

None of the cars had a trap door from the factory, it was an error in sales glossy for the ACR.
