What would cause the transmission to howl at a certain RPM

and under part throttle. Seems like the howling starts at about 4000RPM under part throttle in every gear to about 5000RPM and goes away under full throttle. At first i thought it was the blower but the noise happens only when the car is in gear

Do you have stock gears? Sounds like you might have 3.55s or something lower that will tend to make a howling noise as you described.

No not yet. Also i was wrong, the noise is constant at all MPH and RPM. I noticed that feathering the throttle does not give noise.



no noise in neutral at any speed
noise goes away when puch clutch
