Customer of mine happens to have a mint 93 roadster...

new hardtop
V-mania windows
it DOES have A/C
soft top & windows
chromed stock 3 spokers
Borla 3" XR1's
41K miles
tires are 70%

he wants 35K, is that a fair price? Better yet, what would most of you offer?

i dont wanna get taken...any advice is appreciated

Depends on your description of mint. If its fully clean carfax and all, and awesome paint (at 41k miles you better look long and hard at all areas of the car)... I guess 35k is fair.

At first it sounded high, because of the mileage and year, but after reading about the hardtop and chromed rims, I could see 35k being just slightly on the highside of fair.

For reference, I bought a 20k miles "mint" with hardtop Silver 1999 RT/10 for 45500$ at a dealer only auction. I saw another 1995 RT/10 sell for 41000$ with 8k miles, no hardtop. I thought that was HIGH.

$35K seems like a good price for the car. If I owned it I wouldn't sell it for $1.00 less than $35K assuming it's never been damaged and it is in fact mint. If it's been damaged, I wouldn't pay $1.00 over $20K for it.

Based on miles I'd say maybe $31K but if the car is mint as you say which at 41k miles I would think is doubtful then its not bad considering the extras..I went on classified of vca and saw better buys with much less miles for 93's and 94's

yeah, i know what you mean, thats why i wanted to see what others thought. i know i can get into a '93 for around 31K now, but i thought the hardtop, borlas, & hard windows must bring a few grand more. less stuff i gotta go find & buy later.
no major marks on the lower front facia, all original, paint looks good.
it seems like all the Gen 1s are getting so close in price. A few thousand either way makes a big difference in what kinda options & year you get.
thanks for the replies...

There is no fair price for a MINT viper, majority of the so called clean vipers are everything but clean. In the past year I have personally seen 4 "Super CLEAN" vipers brought to a friends body shop for inspection after they purchased them.

Every single on had major undisclosed damage at which point it was too late for the new owners. The latest one just happened a month or so ago, in this instance the Viper only needed 15k worth of repairs.

So if you do want to buy a viper, find one check everything inside and out. Outside appearance does not mean a whole lot unless you know exactly what you are looking at.

low to mid 30's- find out if he's had the head gasket replaced- 93/94's will fray and leak- matter of when, not if..
