I'm pretty sure none of the guys that own both prefer the GT simply because it's the faster car, and I'd imagine the reasoning will carry over when the Viper ends up quicker than the GT. Just like there's a reason people still prefer the SRT-10 or GTS to the C6Z, even though the C6Z is...- DBK1

Well I really went to the dark side I traded my SRT for a Ford GT!
Congrats on the car. I would estimate at least half of the GT owners currently registered on www.fordgtforum.com own or have owned Vipers. Many of them owning several (including the Gen III cars). The two clearly draw from a similar ownership pool.- DBK1

Better daily driver? Jaguar S-Type R, or Cadillac CTSV?
I had an S-Type R, and over the course of my lease, I absolutely pummeled it. It saw more WOT than any other car I've ever had. It was just a fun DD. Quiet, swift, great trans, great looking inside and out. And it never had a single problem, traditional english gremlin or otherwise. Too...- DBK1

viper vs vette vs gt! REMATCH!!! this time by MT
So the Z06 won in acceleration, road course time, and matched the 60-0 braking, lateral g's(which is an overated magazine racer stat anyways) and was within 3 ft from 100-0? Which would you say is the better performer in a one word answer? I know which I'd pick if racing of any kind was my...- DBK1

I meant in terms of quality/looks. Switchgear(outside of the ac vents, which aren't bad but are clearly from the family parts bin), materials, gauges, the McIntosh head unit, the glowing HVAC controls, shifter, trans tunnel cover, etc are all light years ahead of the fisher price ******** Chevy...- DBK1

The GT is anything but a kit car. It's certainly in a different league than a Noble or TVR etc. The only car I've driven that feels more solidly put together with a better attention to detail is an Aston DB9, and even that isn't that far beyond the GT. I'd put the paint against that of any...- DBK1
