Is It Possible To Put My Viper Motor Into A 1972 Station Wagon?

I'm just curious if it's possible to install the motor from my 1994 Dodge Viper into my 1972 Dodge Cornette Station Wagon? My wife thinks that it's too dangerous for me to drive my Viper, ever since I hit our neighbors French Poodle...Mr Fluffles. I told her that the dog came out of nowhere...

    Oil Filters and Spark Plugs...

Just curious what oil filters everyone is using for their Vipers? I used a MObil 1 oil filter but cannot get them anywhere - and I mean everywhere! Called about a half dozen auto stores. Tried Kmart, Walmart, etc. No luck. So I said the hell with it and went with an extraguard type Purolator...

    Fuel Line/Quick Connect Question...94RT/10

When removing my intake manifold a few weeks ago I disconnected the fuel hose coming from the intake manifold to the metal fuel line attached to the frame on the driver's side where there is a qplastic quick connect. When I disconnected it, three small pieces fell out: a little metal washer, a...

Does anyone have a Winter 2003 Issue of Viper Magazine they want to sell?

Looking for the Winter 2003 Issue. Seems I am now a famous individual as evidenced by this copy. Could use two copies...one for me and one for a former student. My subscription ran out over last summer. It figures. Apparently, they are sold out of this issue according to Viper Magazine today. :(

Anyone have newer rims they'd like to give away?

Anyone have newer rims they\'d like to give away? Looking for 96 and newer rims...if you'd like to give me a set for free or real cheap, I'd pay shipping. Rims with tires are a plus. Figured if it worked for the other guy looking for free/real cheap exhaust, I might as well try to get some...

Rear mail seal goes bad at 18,000 miles? Advice needed please!

Rear seals are cake...pull the pan and remove the main cap or retainer and remove and reinstall. Rear seals can be a pain if the motor is real old and is an old rope seal. Getting them out is usually harder than getting them in. If he is a tuner you have nothing to worry about. Relax man. The...

    1. What size female plug are the two antifreeze block drains? I am assuming 5/16"? 2. What size thread chaser/bottoming tap is used for the block - head bolts? Metric or standard? Before I remove the heads tomorrow I want to make sure I have everything ready for surgery...

    Gen 1 Headgaskets

Well after seeing some tiny dime sized puddles on the garage floor I knew my head gaskets were leaking on my 94 RT/10. After speaking with Doug Levin and Chuck Tator about the gaskets and getting a price on a set, Chuck recommended that maybe a retorque would help out. I spent a few hours...

    Find me 94-96 RT/10 w/a SOLID WARRANTY!

Well I am afraid that the guy is blowing smoke up your sphincter. $15,000 for valve seals/guide replacement? LOL $15,000 for head gaskets? Bad rings? If the soot is oily you may have a problem. Does it blow blue smoke? It may just be carbon if dry. Pull the plugs. If they are fine there isn't...

hood is cracking on 94 HELP

First of all the bodyshop that wants to charge you that amount are thieves. That bodyshop quote made me laugh out loud...Just buy a nice used hood for under $3,000 and have it repainted emerald green. Forget Chrysler altogether.

    Waaah... Head Gasket??

Well it sounds to me like you better find yourself a set of head gaskets quick...sounds to me this may be more troublesome than actually doing the entire job... I sincerely doubt your liners have shifted. For those of us who have disassembled motors, you can imagine how difficult it is breaking...

Why is getting your Viper repaired always 2 steps foward and one step back?

I've said it once and I'll say it again...the majority of dealer techs don't give a crap and don't have any idea of what pride is or even know how to spell it. That's why I won't even buy or consider a warranty. Who needs the hassle of some idiot repairing your car when you're better off doing...

    Hardtop Help, Dodge Or Northwind?

I have the factory Mopar hardtop and prefer it over Northwind. The Northwind top looks bulky for some reason and if I remember has rails on the sides near the rear of the side windows. I just don't like the top's looks. The only way I would have bought a Northwind top is if I got it real cheap -...

Major problems with my new Viper!!!

Tell the Dodge dealer to replace the head gaskets with the newly designed ones. Cost may be around $1,500 depending on the shop. Tire Mounting and Balancing

Just make sure no matter how good the tire shop is that you watch them from start to finish. Remember, most tire changers are screwballs...and this is someone who used to mount and balance tires in highschool... I went to a local tireshop with the latest in technology as far as mounting and...

    Subframe swap

If my Gen 1 motor starts giving me trouble I think I am going to swap a big block K-frame from a Dart into my Viper. Then I plan on dropping in a spare 400 from a 1977 Chrysler New Yorker that I have. This way, I can retain those nimble torsion bars! I plan on migging it in and using a string...

Older, high mileage RT/10, whats a fair price?

Liz, Unfortunately, your thinking as far as prices may be a little off. You are almost stereotyping the prices of a 93-94 RT. "93-94 Viper with less than 30,000 miles and AC between 39 and 41,000. What if the car had 3,000 miles? I don't think a cherry 94 with air and low miles like that...
