A large Vette meet was going on in my town when a couple in their Corvette stopped at my home asking for directions. The lady looked at Gen 2 on the lift and asked if it was a Lambo! I guess she was the accessory cupholder !:D
I had the same failure happen to me. I used a grinder and made a recessed ring around the metal collar. The puller has a smaller radius that fit into this; it came off as it should have.
I was walking around my local Wally World and came across this plastic Snake. Hope its not a repost, but it caught me by surprise. I immediately started thinking about how many batteries one could stuff in there to make a proper burnout:D . I guess that's one way to make Vipers green...
Thanks for the insight folks! (Especially on turkey day). I drove the car around today with full heat on in different modes. Only a slight amount of visible steam came up, and then all was good. I'll be checking the foam seal around the piping next.Have a good weekend!
Does this mean replacement or repair? Am I running a risk of coolant leaking in the interior?
I did not notice any leak at the hoses by the cowl. The Archer guys replaced one of the clamps there 2 years ago at Viper Days.
I wonder if rain got in there this summer at VOI? I don't usually...
I have a 2000 ACR that mysteriously lost heat ability when in the "air vent" position last year. The heater position worked fine so I did not mess with it. During a drive today, I had the selector on vent. When I turned the temp selector to heat, steam came out of only the windshield vents...
The last time mileage was discussed with respect to 3.55's, it seemed that only the speedometer is corrected by the little black box. If you check the mile markers with your odometer, you'll see the mileage clicking by faster than the markers.
It might be an issue when you try to the sell the...
Just great, I have an RD radiator that has been in for 3-4 years now. I'll have to keep a close eye on it.
Is there a way to check for corrosion just by looking at the fluid or by having the radiator tested?
I seemed to get a few nicks in my door from rocks that would have been deflected by the front of the side sill. It probably depends on the roads you drive on as to whether it will be harmful or not.
Update: The same cylinder came back with all seals relaced. It makes a loud vibration but it seems to be lessening over time. They say there is a seal softener that can speed up the breaking in process, but why rock the boat. There is trace moisture and drop formation, but no full drips yet...
I bought the Complete hydraulic CSP 8000 XLT last fall. Since the house was being renovated, I did not have much time to play with it until this spring. After raising it up and down, I noticed fluid pouring out when raising it all the way up to the top.
The warranty for the hydraulic is 2...
I saw 2 other Vipers pull in before I left, but someone else will have to chime in if any interesting runs were made.
As others have posted in other threads, Joe and his crew were great to hang out with. Joe went out of his way to pull a couple extra runs on my car to adjust the Vec-1. He's...
Steve brought out his 2006 V12 beast. Unfortunately the car bucked like abronco on the dyno, wanting no part in this exercise. Even with traction control and stability management turned off, the ABS kicked in at certain times making the car jump around on the drum! Numbers will have to wait...
The Gateway Club held a dyno day at Performance By Joes today. I came early and had to go early, so I can only report on my pulls and the attempted run by Steve Wedel's V12 Biturbo AMG. I had a dyno run 2 years ago at a different shop (also Dynojet) of 425 rwhp. Mods: Belanger headers, random...
Re: Pics of your wheels .?.
These are Fikse's, with OEM tires. I have yet to see another Viper with these wheels. They accent the Steel Gray fairly well.
Re: Another group buy on lifts? Let me know if you would like me to arrange
I just picked up my XLT lift today. I was told it would be in in November, but somehow it came a month early before my garage was finished!
I won't be able to assemble it for a couple weeks. Fortunately it fit on my...
Thanks Ab for the second group buy. I placed an order today for the XLT. I went with the 220 and threw in an extra jack tray. My garage renovations should be done before it arrives, so timing is great!
