I saw that episode and was amazed at the results and would have never guessed the right way to do it.
I didn't believe this story when I first read it in the other thread because the description was so unbelieveable, but here's the link to it on the Contra Costa Times website.

Good question -
Is the ambassador program now rendered moot with employee pricing for all starting tomorrow? Or, is it still in place and the "employee pricing" just another way to say here's the total incentive off the 1% below dealer invoice? Hello VCA officers - guidance please. Thx.

I remember reading a few years ago (when I lived in England) that Clarkson loved the original Viper so much he bought one. I wouldn't be surprised if the RT/10 in the video is his (which is why it was driven so carefully.)

These numbers were reported in Automotive News this week.
900 units in inventory = 200 day supply based on previous month's sales rate. (Previous month was 160 day supply.)

Reading this on rolling code systems, I wouldn't be surprised if they can all be bypassed with static codes a la Skylink and Chamberlain...

Certain rolling code garage door openers are easy to crack.
The Skylink Model 39 universal remote can be set to read the Chamberlain Security+ (rolling code) system and can open the door by using fixed static codes. Chamberlain brought a DMCA suit against Skylink as a result and you can read...
According to the Dodge web site, MSRP is $45,795 with delivery, but the site also says there's a $2,500 cash allowance available reducing the price to $43,295.
Go to configure and price a RAM truck to get the details.

"Measurable weight savings - it weighs approximately 150 lbs. less than the production Viper SRT-10"
Does anyone know if this is with or without the roof?
BTW here's the link to the press release for all DC products at the SEMA show:

Does anyone have photos of the Vmania moonroof on a black Viper? The photo on Biff's website of the moonroof on a red Viper doesn't do either any justice IMHO.

Chrysler to offer $555,000 Tomahawk

Mercedes-AMG is a subsidiary of DC - http://www.mercedes-benz.com/amg/e/profil/index.htm.
They've always likened PVO to AMG (in all the literature/posts I've read) and that's the model going forward. The whole platform team concept that was pioneered by Viper is dead in the Chrysler division...

Re: Are there really a limited # of certs for SRT\'s?
Thanks Steve (I guess...)
It would seem from your comment that the gift is something specific to the SRT though I can't believe it would be another free hardtop a la VOI2 - many more attendees with SRTs on order (400?) Perhaps some type of...
Looks count. Even my wife hates the way the new SRT-10 looks! Says it looks too much like a Vette. As a result, I wouldn't even be able to get the purchase req approved, so no new SRT-10 here. (Not that I would even submit the req since I agree with her.)

That's ok - the deal apparently didn't go through - here's the feedback comment the seller left the winning bidder:
"Complaint : Bid on Based on his 15 year-old Son's prodding. Did not fully read the auction!! "
LOL!
