another headlight question

I was discussing my soon to occur hid headlight upgrade and my father asked me what the yellow rod was for. I believe it is for repositioning the lights, but i just heard that in passing at a show, does anyone know for sure?

It was to make sure the headlights were level.

yup, it is used as a aid in conjunction with a headlight positioning grid to properly position your headlights

Digging up an old thread...

I've adjusted my headlights all the way up but to me they still look a little low? Is the light beam suppose to shine this much on the housing? It just seems like the projector lense is set to low???

Park on level ground about 20 feet from a wall at night and shine your lights at the wall and see where they shine before making more adjustments. You should see a straight line cutoff about knee high or so from 20 feet.

get a hammer and smak the holy toledo out of them, thell go up just kiddin
