I purchased my Forgeline ZX3P (black center with the PK3 Orange lip) wheels for my 08 Roadster, which is Very Viper (PK3) orange...and I noticed what seems to be a very popular mod on the rear facia, which is that the center insert gets a coat of black on it, or are there certain years of Vipers that come that way from factory? If not, anyone here done that on theirs? I'm just trying to figure out where the black should start, meaning on which part of the border at the center...also, if you did this mod, did you use a semi-gloss or a full gloss paint?

It seems to really finish the car off well and gives it a much more aggressive look.

It's this look that I want - and those are the exact wheels I got.

It only comes that way from the factory if you get stripes. I personally think they should all come this way, stripes or no stripes. It looks more aggressive.

I like the look, too. The blackout is done at Prefix, using a semi gloss paint. Any good paint shop could do it for you. If no one posts pics, PM me and I'll take a few showing the details and email them to you.

I've got my Roadster in the shop right now doing the rear facia center in black...I'll post up when I get it back shortly. I matched the exhaust ports and am also doing the diffuser in the same paint.

I'm in Montreal, Quebec, and the shop I have the car at now is a very high end shop and has done the rear bumper paint on few of these cars before, with absolute perfect results. These guys routinely repair and repaint cars - and you can't tell that the car was ever touched; their work is that good. They're certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for...color match and texture for them is nothing more than a change of socks for the average person. My Viper is probably the cheapest car they have in the garage right now...:D
