Brake line plug

Does anybody make them so I can work on the caliper without the brake fluid draining? I suppose I could use the rubber hose method but it seems to me a plug would be less messy.

Break the lead out of a sharpened (tapered) pencil, and twist it into the line; should work just fine.

I'm talking about plugging the bolt that connects to the caliper.

I would suspect that in the "pick-a-nut" assortment at Lowe's, you could find a suitable rubber plug / cork stopper for a brakeline.

How about remove the hollow bolt from the end of the brake hose, use any solid bolt that passes through the metal fitting with the copper washers?

That might work. Knowing me I'd lose the hollow bolt when I went to re-attach it.
