Dashboard work

I'm looking to change the look of the dashboard. I like the painted look/high gloss look. What options exist for doing this? Just paint over the old one, buy one already prep'd. . .?

Any input/advice much appreciated.

You will want to strip the dash if you go with a gloss color. Many, including me, used EZ-Off oven spary to strip the old paint. I went with a flat black and flat clear.
