After about 100 miles on a new fuel pump, the car died; same symptoms as when the fuel pump failed. We found that the cause this time was a failed relay to the pump. This had just been replaced when the fuel pump was replaced.
Any ideas on what's happening? Suggestions for resolution of the problem? I'm getting gun shy about driving more than 100 miles.

Just google voltage drop testing and you will probably find lots of information including some good illustrations along with acceptable levels of voltage drop across a given run of wiring. It's kind of like testing resistance, but it gives you a true idea of how much load the circuit can carry. A resistance test could show very low resistance even with one strand of copper intact in a stranded wire like what is used in automotive applications, however that one strand of copper would NOT be able to properly carry the load that a fuel pump would pull!!!! ONLY a voltage drop test will tell you if that circuits wiring is up to *****. Hope this helps. ASE L1 CDMAT.
