Hi, i’ve read a lot of posts about Crank-No start issues with 97 Viper’s.
Now mine does the same after drijing like a dream untill parking last week.
Today wanted to go for a ride, tried to start and cranks but does not fire up!
I don’t really hear the fuel pump but can’t find any relay or fuse.
Can somebody please help me with their location?

ASD relay should be under the hood in the Power Distribution Center...remove cover and look in lid for location guide.

Fuel pump fuse and relay should be located in trunk on driver's side in a slender box with a cover.

^^True^^
My car went deadstick at COTA one day between 10 and 11. Flat-towed back to the paddock and discovered the relay laying on the trunk floor by the amp. Plugged it back in firmly and all good. Must have pounded the apex curbs a bit too hard.

found out the car is a 1994 but first registered here in 1997!! I’ve found the fuel lump relay is located alongside the wiring harness on the upperside of the trunk. But I still have no idea where to find the fuse and the relay box under the bonnet. I only found the small fuse box just below the glovebox adjacent to the transmission tunnel.
Can you post any photo to make things clearer please!

BIG difference between 1997 and 1994 !!
If, by any chance, you paid a 1997 price for a 1994, I would suggest that you attempt to arrange a partial refund.

The fuse box on a Gen I (1992 through 1996.5) is under the passenger side dash closer to center of car. Here you will find a small panel as part of the dash...remove this cove panel to expose fuses. There are several very important fusible links crossing the driver side toebox.

The relays are under the hood on the passenger side, beneatht the HVAC shroud...and they are all in a row going toward the engine in an an area somewhat difficult to see.

As I do not ever post photos/diagrams, feel free to post your email and I will send some to you.

You NEED a 1994 Viper Service Manual..
which can usually be found on eBay for 40 to 60 dollars.

Kees Mets works on Vipers. He runs a garage in the Netherlands.

Wow! Thanks for
Your quick response. I paid a nice price for it about 10 years ago € 24.000,- It’s been driving perfect all that time. Last 3 years I haven’t used it enough so I’m afraid of the pump itself….
I found the relays below the air intake behind the a/c pipes, although there is no cover on them.
The fuel pump relay clicks when ignition is turned on but the pump does not run. Still can’t find the fuse of the pump….
Sending a circuit diagram and photos would be great.
Email: [email protected]

What is the company name of Kees Mets? Then I can also contact him in case of questions.

Thanks again for tour great help so far!!

With fuel pump clicking, the signal side seems intact. Socket for pin 30 should have 12 volts full time...does it?

If yes, have you tried to jump relay sockets (jumper between pin 30 socket to pin 87 socket to see if pump runs) with fuel pump relay removed? If pump not running, next step would be to check for current at fuel pump.

As I recall, there is an inline fused link to fuel pump.

As above questions answered, can home in on any necessary diagrams.

You really NEED a service manual for a 1994 Viper...though 92 or 93 or 95 would still be a big help.
