Does anyone know what is considered a typical install time for Belanger Headers on a Gen3? What you would expect a shop to charge on?:dunno:

If I do it myself I will double that time or more:smirk:

It took my tech about 4 hours to install the Belanger headers and exhaust minus cats.

Shandon, it was a shop. I see you have Corsa already so that would cut down on some time. Do you plan to change the Cats too? that would add a little bit of time.

You can slam them out in 4-5 hours, if your meticulous and take your time its a all day affair, probably 8 hours or so, especially if you have to re-adjust your current exhaust to work with the headers.

Shandon - Mike is right. The mechanic who installed mine is very meticulous. I'm very pleased with my install. If don't plan to do it yourself you also don't want to find the fastest cheapest place to do this either.

Yea I have all the connections now from lou and JohnB to hook the headers directly to the corsa. Lou made me the connection with magnaflow cats so that I go from his headers to my corsa. The only thing I may need to do is cut the pipe down a little that goes into the corsa if its too long other than that its a bolt on deal.... I HOPE :dunno:

I have a suggestion. When you do the headers is the time to replace your motor mounts with a set from Woodhouse. A couple reasons : The new setup will not have room for a flex joint and the new mounts will reduce the movement in the chassis without which you'll have some issues like cracks and bolts coming loose all the time, also, it's really easy to replace the RH mount with the exhaust out [ you can take it in and out through the exhaust tunnel in the frame real easy ], it takes a lot longer if you have to do it with everything in place. I would do this and add a 1/2 hour or so at the same time as the headers. You'll be glad you did.

Headers are actually pretty easy on a Gen III ... I'm doing a how-to for a Gen III. I hope to be able to post it in the next couple weeks.

Oh ya, I'd count on 10-12 hours, there's a couple things that may take a little extra time if you're being extra "particular" about what you're doing.

That in itself will take a little extra time, you will have to pull side sills and go thru the whole process of setting the corsa up to new header piping and make sure to get your tips aligned in the side sill opening again, so plan on a all day job.
You sure will like the sound with the headers.:2tu:

My tech has installed several Balangers. He made it look easy. If I had done it myself it probably would have taken twice as long. I hope you have access to a lift.
