I'll be getting a nice commission check here soon that I had totally forgotten about. One of my old mortgages is back alive, and I will be getting about $5000 from it. It's like winning the lottery, since I had totally dismissed it as a dead deal.

Anyway, since this is essentially "free" money, I figured I would dump it into my car. Now, right now here are my mods...
Corsa catback
short shifter
built-in Valentine One
Fidanza aluminum flywheel (new clutch too)
smooth tubes and K&N's

I will be removing the cats and doing straight pipes and O2 sims this weekend or next.

So....I was thinking I would do some sort of headers (suggestions on this?), some sort of roller rockers (suggestions also?) and a VEC2. That should be roughly in the ballpark of $5000. Your thoughts? My other idea is headers and one of those three piece removable hardtops. I have just the softtop now, as the hardtop didn't come with the car.

Car is not a drag car, and will see some limited road racing. It's more of a cruiser/near-daily-driver kind of thing, so I want it reliable.

haha I wouldn't work at Countrywide if my life depended on it (okay, I would, it's just a saying...). I hate Countrywide.

No, I run a private mortgage company.

Now that I think about it, I am leaning toward the headers and hard-top idea. What headers would be best for my application?

The car....might...be supercharged in the future, but for right now, let's just assume it won't.

How about some rims and tires to use with the "limited road racing"! Checkout the classifieds, but I'm willing to come down to $4100 for the complete set of Forgelines. 18" up front and 19" on the rear :2tu:

Well, no offense, but I don't like those wheels on a red car. I think they would look better on a black car. Nice rims, just not my cup of tea.

for 5K right now I would call greg good and get his heads and cam package and a vec 2, that would be your biggest power gain that I could see.

Let's see you are in Jacksonville and Sean is in Jacksonville...................... Do I need to go further?

Yes, you do.

Well if you said $7500 I would say go to Sean and get the S/C but for the money I think the combo I gave above will be your best bet.

Let's assume I have $2500 left after the hardtop. What should I get with that.

I'm not going to walk into Sean's shop, dump a pile of money on his desk and just hand him the keys. I think I would like to have an idea what to ask for. Not to mention that perhaps Roe Racing doesn't stock what I should buy.

well since you said $2500 and the vec 2 itself is $1000 and the BEST bet that only leave $1500 and you would be a little short for headers (there $1800) but in the same token they do give around the same power so whats the diffrence, as a matter of fact more often then not rockers give more power, the average power gain from headers is 15 - 25 and the rockers average are 20 - 30 so its up to you.

I don't want to do gears. I like the ability to run some crazy top end speeds on a road near my office, in the middle of an orange grove.....

$2500 would get you some Headers(used Belangers if you can find them) and VEC2! Heck, you might get 75hp out of that after it's tuned in! :2tu:

Just totally changed configurations on my car.

I have a set of Bellangers that only have about 200 miles on them. They are mint.

Like to move them so I am open to offers if you are interested. New they are $1700 - 1800 depending on where you get them.

Skip Barber 3 days racing school at Sebring. that will take care of about $3,500

Ahhh, I knew someone would suggest that.

You see, this is "found" money that I want to spend on mods. I already have been saving up for the school. :2tu: ;)

Take it Sebring and get some pictures taken of it this weekend. There's supposed to be some guy flying in from the Midwest to take some pictures there and it's only like $100 for a CD full of pictures. He can make it look real fast in the pictures then you could save the rest of it.

Well, I used to work at Venus Swimwear, and I know plenty of photographers (and models) that would do that for free.
