hood suddenly becomes harder to close?

hey guys i was just winder the hood and when i went to close it it was almost like it didnt want to close. anyways i closed it, but when i go to pop it again there is more 'pop" when it opens,,,as though it was closed really tight. just randomly too. is there something i should look at?

Blah blah blah, make sure nothing is in the way and lined up properly. Stuff I'm sure you've already checked. Besides that, maybe the rubber stoppers are getting in the way? Are they set too high? (Make sure hood will not rub on headlights if you drop a stopper or two). Also, it could be a slight hood latch adjustment is needed due to movement of the latch over time?

Darth, you MAY have closed hood with the rollers at the rear not properly/fully seated...so hood closes but seems to be under more tension than usual...have even seen hoods try to buckle !!!
Aside from advice above, be sure to rock hood up and down 2-3 times prior to final closure stroke to be sure that rear latches are well positioned...then complete closure. If that does not make things better, consider addressing rubber bumpers as stated, and if necessary the latches (mark them with a scribe PRIOR to moving !!!).
