in the grill. The dealer only has it as an assembly with the cables for big bucks. Any good source for used parts? Maybe someone has a parts car. The handle would probably survive a front crash so there has to be used ones somewhere - no?

I bought the hood release handle from the dealer a couple of years ago with the cables, (since they are so short and don't need to run through the firewall, and don't recall it being to expensive....But then again...the GenII was a current production car.....
