I'm finding with my driving style when i go to heel/toe i'm almost going thru the windshield causing me to mis my shifts. (its great to finally see 5th gear).
Does anyone know of a shifter adapter that will allow me to by-pass the H style pattern & go with a forward & backward Shift? I've contacted some transmission companies but 11K for a sequential transmission is alittle out of my league.

I'm taking a guess at this - it seems you are shifting too early in the process of approaching a corner.

Downshift should be the last thing you do before you turn into the corner.
Its like this
brake
brake
brake
brake
downshift
turn

Good advice Gavin!
I had to watch a Viper Days race from the side early this year :( , What I noticed was the veterans were doing just what you said, brake, brake, brake, downshift, turn.
Better car control, longer lasting transmission, less anxiety, faster laps.
