I have a silver 03 and want to paint the lower rear valence like some of the newer cars.

I would like a picture of the blacked out area of the rear.

If you are unable to post pictures, please e-mail it to me directly.

Also if anyone knows the paint code for factory dull black paint that would be a bonus.

The factory look is perfect and the paint seems to totally absorb light.

Thanks if advance.

Funny you should mention this. I am painting the rear section a charcoal or graphite,or whatever my painter wants, whenever I get a chance to get my car into the shop. I might have it done by this weekend and will post a pic for you on the silver car.
As ghetto as this may be, I am also tinting my tails and third light.

The 03 SRT's were all silver. Later cars have the rear air extraction area painted a flat black. It has the impact of visually lowering the car.

I would like to paint this area like the Yellow VCA cars.

Need a picture to give to the painter so it will be just like the factory cars.

I painted mine myself with black semi gloss trim paint from the auto parts store. It looks like I knew what I was doing. See my photos. If you need a better picture of the rear only, just let me know. Good luck.

I might be mistaken, but I think Paul was looking for pics of the lower part of the actual bumper painted. The section around where the two vents are. the new coupes have this painted black. looks sharp.

DP Viper.

Yours is exactly what I am looking for.

If you can snap me a picture that shows where the silver ends and the black starts that would be great.

A low picture angling up would be perfect.

That's what I thought too, but from seeing these pictures, for some reason, they don't look black to me.

There are other pictures here of the blue coupe being delivered out of a truck, and I noticed the same thing about the rear end...all blue and no black. Weird.

Ok, seems like the coupes have different rear bumpers than the roadsters....so far I've seen two solid blue coupes with full blue back bumpers and JKVIPER just posted pictures of a solid blue coupe with black insert...dammit...now I'm confused.

Thanks for everyone's help.

JKVIPER...That is exactly what I needed thanks.

Did not want to start a controversy, but I also am confusted at which cars have blacked out venturi sections.

Maybe special editions have them and regular production is body colored.
