I had my 2006 Viper Coupe regeared to 3.33s with a Quaiff and never really felt much difference. My 08 Coupe has VVT and more horsepower. Do you guys think I should go with 3.33s again, 3.45s, 3.55s? I'd like to be able to do 60 in first gear still but would like more jump out of the hole.

Thanks for the advice,

Thanks for the comments Billy but your is an 06 right? Also, with 3.55s can you still do 60 mph in 1st? Is 6th gear now usable?

Thanks,

It's an '03. I'll let you know what I can get to in first. This gearing is great for going through the 1/4 mile traps in 4th gear at good rpms

If you change gear you will not be able to do 60 in first gear. I put 3.33 in my 08 and am very happy with the change. I picked 3.33 because I also plan on adding headers/exhaust soon. With 3.33 it will do 57 mph in 1st.

I had 3.45s on my '05 and switched to 3.33s. With more power on the '08, I plan to go with 3.33s again.

I think you'll like the 3.33's on the street, though I'd go 3.55's for street use.

You will also like the 3.33's at Buttonwillow.

At Willow Springs, you will wish you had 3.07s.

Kinda depends on how you plan to use the car.

You won't get 60 mph in first with anything but 3.07s.
