Need help w/shift light wiring

I believe you tied into one of the coil wires of which there are 5 which each serve two cylinders. They fire twice per revolution. You could set your tach to 10500 rpm or tap into the tach lead which can be reached under the dash.

Setup the box to be a 5 cylinder engine, and you will be fine.

For my '96 RT/10, using this same light, I tapped into the line connecting to the tach itself. I then had to set the configuration to 5 cylinders and it worked GREAT!
