I am in the process of installing an AIM MXL dash/datalogger. Tapped into the grey wire with blue tracer coming from C1 (Tach output), but AIM is not seeing any signal. The signal needs to be a square wave, anyone know if that's the case with the RPM signal from the ECU?

These are my options as per the manual

from the ECU through a square wave signal (from 8 to 50 V);
from the coil: low voltage input (from 150 o 450 V).

Thanks!!

I vaguely recall this coming up many years ago in regards to shift lights...found a couple of threads that MAY be of interest by searching with "tach signal".

Sorry for not having a better answer...good hunting.

yah, I saw those, but besides finding the tach wire they don't really help much.

Update: got the signal, just needed a filter for the signal (Aim part).
