The powder coating on the yellow is perfect match. The black stripes were done with a paint bomb.

Sneaky Pete and the letters were spray bombed and then finished by hand. Next time I will do it by hand as the spray bomb was a waste of time with the masking on the small stuff.

Thanks guys,
Later I will probably install some yellow wires but for now these GTS-R wires will work.
I am not sure about the heat shields as with the 170 deg thermostat, Bellanger Headers, Hi flow cats and the 3” Corsa it is way cooler under the hood and heat is not a problem like with the stock car. As well the wires themselves are not in any danger or melting.

Explaining Viper things to you

I certainly don't want to distract from your post about your powder coating work on your engine. Trust me, with still some tape peel damage on one of my valve covers, I am jealous of your paint mods!

Anyway, a few technical side tracks, as I know many read these threads and what's wrong with some tech info.

The heat shields... I did a thread on that and afterward went from no, to yes on them. Built my own, but nonetheless have them.

Also, in regards to plug wires, can't tell whether you have any boot shielding, but here are some results on my car.

Lesson from that last bit is protect your plug boots and only buy ab's wires!

Finally, I see you live in the cold zone - Canada. I'm sure your engine runs cooler in that climate, but radiant heat from the headers to plug wires and brake lines etc, are not likely reduced that much. 1100 deg headers in 80 deg weather (you) still do damage just like 1100 deg headers in 100 deg weather (me).

GREAT job on the powder-coating~! Thanx for sharing the pictures! Remember Tim was showing us the powder-coating job he had done, not the wires or headers! (Tho, I DO have to agree with Dave on heat shields on headers and plug boots...and plugging AB's wires here as well--in YELLOW!)
GREAT WORK there! ~juli

Yes in the spring I will change the wires and do a little more detailing in the Engine Dept. Unfortunately there are a few other more pressing details I need to look after 1st with the car. Then once it is sorted out, look out, I will have lots of good stuff to post but until then………….

Gracias
