can any of you guys tell me how fast(mph) each gear goes to when
running the 1/4. also does it make a difference if you have a S/C
or turbo?

like if i see a guy ran a 10.5 what gear was he in (4th). now lets say
you step up to the big dogs and run in the high 8's low 9's do you need to go in to 5th gear.

i'm really curious about what gears run out to what and if its modded does it make a difference.(i know gear mods make a difference i mean engine with stock gears)

i have a Paxton and stock 3.07 gears. so i would need to shift in to 4 th
to make it all the way thru the 1/4 right?

will my car top out in 5th gear at 200mph if i've got 625-650 rwhp.

thanks guys.

MPH would be "about" the same with or without s/c.....function of gearing and rpm.

Most ALL the cars will be in 4th gear...the very high power cars may even go to a higher rear gear for more MPH in 4th.

You will be in 4th gear in the 1/4 mile.

200 MPH in 5th.....I say no, but there is a chart around here somewhere on all the gearing/MPH stuff.

Good luck...don't kill yourself ;)
