I have one of Rich's shifters and am using the stock knob...It works great although I dont remember if a have a 3 or 3.5 inch shifter ....Maybe Rich will recall which one he sold me.

I have used Rich's shifters on two Vipers. A '97 and my current '01, both with stock knobs, both were/are great! - john

I have put on the dilusi short shifter with a stock knob.Works great.Much shorter than that other 3" shifter.Visually it is disturbing being so short.Works fine however.When you try it your mind will tell your eyes to forget about it. Bruce
