I just ordered the Random Technology Hi flo cats for my 09. I dont have headers but they will mate up with the Corsa exhaust. My question is: Have any of you with a Gen 4, 08 or 09 specifically, had any problems with check engine lights after installing the RT hi flo cats. and do you like them? Thanks.

I hope the RT's have the flexi's like Sean's do. Otherwise you'll be snapping hangers.

I have Sean's 3" Direct Replacement High Flow Metallic Substrate Catalytic Converter Set, 2003 – 2009 Viper for about 1,000 miles. I did have a CEL after about 200 miles. But it went away 2 days later after took a nice long drive hasn't come back.

CITY: In response to 4 or 5 WARRANTEE fixes almost 2 YEARS ago, we revised the RT cat to the same method as Belanger uses: NO hangers to snap. No flex-restriction. We could ADD FLEX PIPES if a buyer insists, but decades of Flex-less Belanger systems are all the proof we need. We feel, as does Belanger, that the flex pipe is a restriction (look inside one!!)

Those few SRT10 that broke the OLD style hangers were also lowered and high-HP. We have many, many dozens of installs since, with no additional problems or anecdotes.

MARK: We also alerted you to the occasional incident of the possible-intermittant CEL on 08-09 that would then go out after short duration. This is EXACTLY as advised.... Of course the MoPar PCM prevents this.

Sorry Jon. My knowledge of the HF cat market is limited. I was speaking only from some of my local member's experiences with GEN 3 RT cats. And those experiences were from at least a year ago?

Anyway, I'm not sure why GTSR91 is concerned about the CEL. Since it's reset itself, I think it was more likely just part of the controller's "learning" process. I've had no CEL for over 500 miles.

I have the roes with the flex pipe and love them. It just makes more sense. The stock system has a flex pipe so there must be a reason. I stayed away from Cats since I dont know some here in the group in NY who had terrible trouble with HF cats without the flex pipe.

The sound of the Roes is great. Deeps and definitely more aggressive. I have the corsa track with the cats and feel it is the best sound to be had without losing your hearing...

Here is a link to a short video.

How do you like the sound with Sean's cats? Can you compare the sound to an 08/09 with the Corsa only? Thanks
