I'm planning on removing the VEC2 module from my car and having it retuned using SCT software. My tuner said he could do this for me, which is probably what will end up happening. My question is, how big of a job is this? Is this something I can do myself or should I just leave it up to the experts? I have a pretty good mechanical aptitude; however, I'm not sure I want to take this on myself.....

If anyone has experience removing the VEC2 module, please chime in. I know this will also be based on how the module was installed. I'm not positive but I believe all the connections were soldered as the installation appears to be top notch.

I removed mine. You just have to work the installation directions in reverse order. Really not that big a deal. Just take your time.

It did help that I had a Service Manual for the Viper. I used the service manual to identify the connectors referred to in the installation directions. Note: My car is a 1997 GTS.
