I decide to pull my plugs. The previous owner installed Bosch Platinum+4 plugs around the 6K mile mark. Here's a shot of the Stock Champion plug next to the Bosch plug. Mind you, the Bosh plugs only have 4K miles on them and they don't look so good:

The Bosch Platinum+4 doesn't appear to have a long enough reach. Going on the advice of many, I replaced the Bosch plugs with stock Champions. After replacing the Bosch plugs with stock Champions the car runs much smoother.

Well, this is good information, thank you both of you....we have the Bosch plugs and have NOT installed them yet---we may not now...especially if the Wizard says not to use them also. We listen to what he says, and also you, Phil, thank you, also thank you Tony for bringing this up. ~juli~

I went on the advice of Chuck Tator and installed the stock Champion plugs. $1.38 each. Iridium style plugs are the talk as of late but at $6-$9 a plug...I can't justify spending upwards of $80 for plugs for a N.A. engine especially when the stock Champions work well. As somone very wise once said "I'm just a feller...not Rockefeller." For $80 I better get a happy ending with those plugs...or more HP. :rolaugh:

Wish we'd known this before ordering a year and 1/2 ago, but we have not put them in, so we will go with the other--Champions you say? Does Chuck say that also for the '05 ('03-'06) engine? Wires by AB I know, we do have to get those also. Thx again! ~juli~
