Sorry for the the stupid ?. What is the best way to check the oil level in my Roe unit? How much oil does it hold... It looks low to me peeking through the top bolt hole.

I believe it is 56cc, I can answer better when I get off work. Best way to check the level is invest in a dip stick for it. I believe Roe carries them and so does Kenne Belle.

(I happen to notice EllowViper now has 2 different dip sticks, might want to send him a PM to see if he will sell the old one)

The dipstick has 2 notches in it. Oil should be between the two. Do not run with dipstick in. Do not overfill.

Seriously though, the 2.8 has an extended reseviour and holds more. Kenne Bell probably sells the rihght one for the 2.4 blowers. Give Matt a call at KB.

I have a hard time seeing the oil on the stick. I wrote this up a couple years ago with a pic of the dipstick and an easy way to determine the level. Scroll down a little to see the post.

1Tony1 put an extra notch in my dipstick (that don't sound right, sorry Tony ) in between the two so it would be easier to see the oil on the notch because yes, it is difficult to see. Good write up on that link too Steve.
