Run in with GT3

99% sure the GT3 only comes in a 6-speed.

I'll agree that the GT3 is a great car on a racetrack, and at speed, but if you don't dump the clutch at 5000RPM, you aren't going to be running mid-to-low 12s, and if you are caught out of the car's powerband you are SOL.

Certainly it's better than the regular 911, and Porsche did need to raise the performance bar to create a car between capability of the regular 911 and the $200K GT2.

I have a friend of mine who optioned his GT3 and the out-the-door price was $153K. He didn't mind paying that price, and he loves the car, but it's not $99K.

Some of you should spend some time reading the Rennlist Porsche forums, I think you would be surprised that the grass is not as green on the other side of the fence. Oil leak issues, so-so interior, weak exhaust notes, etc. Not hitting on the Porsche, just pointing out it's not perfect, every car has faults.

Plus, the ceramic brakes have had many failures according to the boards. With replacment rotors costing alot, many people have seemed take the steel brakes instead.
