Has anyone ever had a problem with the seat stitching breaking.

My seat was wet for about two months while being shipped. I cannot get a new seat so wonder If I should stick with what I have. I am a little concerned that the stitching may rot over time has anyone encountered this?.

Also has anyone got any idea how to best remove rust stains from the seat leather?

Thanks Philip

Hey Philip:

Can't get a new seat because of finance or can not find one? As for the stitching, you should be fine as long as you dried it off.

As for the rust, that is a good question. Water on a towel does not get it off? If so try a little soap and water on a towel. That should get rid of it.

Hope this helps

I cannot find a new seat, the car is virtually new so a good second hand seat has probably more wear than what I have. As it dries out both carpet and seat are looking better, it is more I do not want to accept it and find a problem down the track.

The rust is stained from the metal frame into the leather, soap improved it but the stains remain if you look at the side where it was touching the frame.

regards Philip
