I made my second trip to the drag strip last night. With the cooler weather and the help from viper owners here, I was expecting to see a little improvement in my previous times.
The first run of the night was horrible. I launched at 2000 rpm's and spun like I was on ice. I hit the rev limiter almost immediately and started pedaling to get traction. When I shifted to second the spinningng continued. I finally hooked and went through the traps with a 13.17 @ 115mph.
The second and third runs were almost identical to each other. Using the knowledge gained here, I launched much easier and did not shift until the shift light came on. This improved my time and especially my mph. The stats for the second and third runs are

1/4 12.22 @ 120.58 mph

1/8 8.051 @ 92.80 mph
1/4 12.21 @ 120.69 mph
The track prep was terrible and there were a lot of cars and bikes last night, so the starting lines were greasy. With better tires or track prep a run in the 11's is not out of the question. A better 60' time would help also. Thanks to all here for your advice. I will go again next Thursday and see if I get any better.
