I discovered on my most recent motor rebuild that the stock fuel (which i'm not using anyway) has been disconnected.

2 questions.

1 - will this cause a vacuum leak? I think so...but not 100% sure.
2 - what size plug can I put in there? I checked the usual NPT plugs and the one that is closest in size doesn't actually thread. any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the threaded inlet into the intake (fuel rails) ?
I don't think it would cause a vacuum leak but it wouldn't hurt to plug it either. The injector o-ring should prevent a vacuum leak even with top feed injectors.

Thanks for the bump, plum!

tony - yeah... i'm talking about that threaded inlet into the intake on the back of the stock intake (passenger side). a 3/8" NPT plug starts to thread... but then it gets stuck. wrong thread for sure.

just trying to clean it up while i have the intake off...

Not a bad idea. i think i will. Actually, i can just tap it... it is almost that thread size anyway.

but you don't think that leaving it open is a bad thing either, right?

Not bad I guess ?? I would rather see it closed. What does everyone else do ?
