Official Class structure V-10 nationals 2004 Season (364 words) #230804

Stock Class 12.00 and up
Street Class 11.00 - 11.99
Super Street 10.50 - 10.99
Pro Street 9.90 - 10.49
Unlimited 9.35 - 9.89
unlimited Pro Viper Vin # Required

Street Tire Shoot-out seperate from above owner must Drive the Car!

Individual Driving Awards will be given as well as top 3 finishers.
Mod Level awards will be given as well.
Fastest Roe Blower
Fastest NOS Only
Fastest Supercharged Only
Fastest Turbo's
Fastest All Motor
ect.

All events winners will be published in Viper Magazine. Including the winners of the past 2 events in the spring issue of the Magazine.

This is basically the same set-up as San Antonio. We have eliminated for the time being the All Motor class to make the classes larger. As the event grows we will add the all motor class back in as cars will permit to do so. This is looking to be the way the event structure will work as far as class breakdowns.

I realize that this is a index system but for now I feel this is the best way to
maximize car counts and make the event grow.

As always I am listening and invite good advice concerning the events. ESPECIALLY FROM THOSE WHO ACTUALLY ATTEND THEM!!! if any questions or concerns please voice them.

there will be a following set of actual rules concerning the proper staging and ect. for the actual event. Example. once the lane next to you is staged you only have a limited amount of time to stage or the lights will go. these will be detailed of course and we will become strict on the rules of the event. This is necessarry to make the event an overall success.

questions or concerns are always welcome.

This will be a points series. There will be a Minimum of 6 races including a Championship Event back in San ANtonio Next December. The V-10 Nationals will also host an event in Shreveport, LA the week of VOI 8. tentative schedule is the following

Feb 6-8 Bradenton, FLorida
Late April Early May Bowling Green,KY
Late June or July Open TBA
August Columbus, Ohio Covered by ESPN 2
September VOI Shreveport, LA
Late October early November TBA Possible Canada or Las Vegas
December Finals San ANtonio

thanks

See you in Florida!!! Feb 6-8

So for the classes below, you can run pretty much any tire/mods right?

Stock Class 12.00 and up
Street Class 11.00 - 11.99
Super Street 10.50 - 10.99
Pro Street 9.90 - 10.49
Unlimited 9.35 - 9.89
unlimited Pro Viper Vin # Required

Also, the street tire shootout, you can have any mods, but must be on Pilot type tires? No drag radials right?

Sorry if this has been covered, but I want to see where I will fit in here.

Thanks,
Jason

What kind of tree ? Pro or full tree. If the NSCA does the Viper/Vette races they will be running on a pro tree, as almost all heads up racing is done. For anyone running both, it would be nice to have them the same. Rarely do you see heads up racing done on a full tree.

Tony no decision on the tree yet. will be attached to final rules.

Jason
you can run any tire combo you want just don't break-out

Street tire shoot-out is for Pilots only, No Drag Radials.

MOJO, Allmotor would run in an index class, just depends on how fast you are.

Street tire is heads up, any mods.....except maybe...must be 6 speed and independent rearend.

Tony is correct must be 6-speed Trans and owner must drive the car in street tire shoot-out.

ALl Motor will run in the proper index according to the ET. this class wil be reinstated once the ALl motor Class develops more cars. Now this class will help the 9.90-10.49 Class. they usually fall within this index anyway.

roof/tony; there are only two categories; index and street tire shootout. i understand where the AM will run same as everyone else, its indexing simple enough and based upon dial in. what im asking is where does AM fit in otherwise for award purposes? what i mean is; as per above, "AM is not being offered so as to make other classes larger", that doesnt make sense as classes are (as per above) based upon index/dial in and not mods so how can removing a mod class increase anything? by looking at the above it appears the only thing accomplished by removing the AM class from the awards mod level categories is just that...no awards to an AM car for being AM. i do understand how this would be a ****** if only one shows though; need at least four i guess to have a fight for first through fourth place.

the all Fastest ALl Motor car will recieve an individual award based on fastest ET. Just Like a the Fastest Roe Blower and so on. Each Mod level will have individual awards to win based on Fastest ET.

For now this is the only way to do it. otherwise we would have to have a special forced Induction class, Nos only class and so on. It could get real complicated.

Hope this answers better if not Im not sure i am understanding the question.
