Hello;

Obviously the lighter flywheel would make for quicker revs/throttle response. Sounds good so far, right?

Well, a lighter flywheel would also equal less inertia when you let out the clutch in first gear for example. Even though we enjoy incredible torque in our SRT's (or any Viper) wouldn't we lose some of the low rpm torque that we now enjoy when just out for a cruise?

Another thought; wouldn't a lighter flywheel help to eliminate some wheelspin when doing an aggressive launch? What are your opinions on doing the lightweight flywheel mod to the SRT?

Thanks!

I was told that the flywheel is already lighter in the SRT than the previous Vipers. Don't know if it is true or not, but haven't seen any make this switch yet...

just an fyi....

The Comp Coupe flywheel is lighter than the stock SRT-10. PVO has it made from all steel so there would be no warping concerns like can happen with AL flywheels.

I was told the CC flywheel will bolt into the SRT-10 . It is NOT a direct bolt in to gen1 or gen2 vipers
