What year did they change the fog lights?

I noticed for sure that 99' model vipers have stand alone fog lights and previous models have a clear lens that goes with the body. However when I have shopped online I cant find a definite year that this happened. Just makes me wonder if one has been wrecked when I doesnt follow with the 99' model change. Anyone know for sure?

Fog lights themselves changed with the Gen2,the only real change was the mounting.Gen1s used a single top fed bolt and locked in place with to retaining clips.Gen2s use 3 machine screws to hold in place.The lense delete came about in 99

Vipers stopped using the fog light covers (clear lens in front of the fog lights) in 1999. up to 1998 they all had them.

So 92-98 is considered Gen 1 and 99-02 is Gen 2. Thanks for your replies.

'96 to '02 are Gen IIs. The fog light lens delete does not determine the Gen designation.
