What\'s the best deal on wide band O2 Sensors?

From whom orwhere can I get the best deal on wideband O2 sensors? I'm doing heads/cam and installing a VEC2, do I need the wideband sensors? Are the stock ones compatible with the VEC2? Do they give accurate enough readings to really tune the car? Thanks.

Yes you need one. They are accurate. I just bought another Techedge: http://wbo2.com/2b0/default.htm

This is the display: http://wbo2.com/ld01/default.htm fits perfect in one of the three center a/c vents.

If you look on the order page, I ordered the 2B0 unit, cable & LD01B, but no sensor. Then ordered the sensor from VW parts.com I have been running their version 1.5 for about two years and was pleased with it. About $440 plus the $30 sensor (I ordered a spare sensor)

Just got the Innovate LM-1 hooked up the other day and it works pretty good. It is more a unit for testing. It is a small box display that really isn't meant to stay in the car, but they do have remote gauges if one wishes to keep it in there permanently.


I have the same setup you are contemplating and have been tuning with the VEC2 for a couple of days now. The AFR is a must and gives you the advantage of tuning for street conditions and not just on a dyno IMO.

I was looking for something like this the other day. It seems kind of pricy for a gauge, I was going to go with this, self contained and acurate.

That's not a w/b, it does the same thing a vec1 display can do reading your stock o2 sensor.
