Okay, well since we have a post of this picture already, I wanted to see what you guys thought. A lot of people said they liked it but I want to find out, who would take this rear end over the current one? I know for sure that I LOVE THIS ONE!! Here is the picture:

The rear makes this car look "stronger" What would be better if i viewed the car from the rear. I still like my '06 rear end, until I see the coup rear in a convertible.

Nope. It's a coupe without a top. I like a distinct difference between the SRTs. Like the distinct difference between the RT/10 and the GTS.

What about this rear end?:

I have the 06 SRTC FE and would buy this version in a heartbeat! I guess everyone has different esthetic values. IMHO, this this rear end appearance has a "Mercedes-like" flavor to it. I could easily imagine DCX taking a clue from this somewhere in the future. I don't feel that this configuration looks any more or less "strong" than the current coupe, but it does look more agressive than the convertible. Maybe it's the roofline that makes the big difference?

Its much nicer then the rear on my 05. To bad the SRT10 does not have it. It look more aggressive no doubt. I guess its all about concessions and personal choices but its still a Viper and in my opinion Americas Hottest Musclecar. Ken I agree with you the coupe looks way more aggressive.

I don't because I prefer the more open look. I also wonder how hard it might be to keep the outer tailight area clean.

I like the cars just the way DC designed them. The roofline (or absence of) completely controls how a certain backend looks. The coupe w/the SRT backend looks like a Mercedes and the SRT w/the coupe backend looks too blocky without the roofline to flow with it. If I had to pick, I'd take the SRT-C with the SRT backend as my choice

Second one. I agree with the comment that the rear is missing something. I think the smaller tail lights on the convertible looks odd. I think it throws the proportions off or it have to do with the photo shop.

the ones that dc has out are great. the first one is ok but not as good as the regular one. and the second one (sorry) is butt fugly. theres a reason why dc didnt have the rear just like the convertable.

I like the GTS 2001 pic. I don't care for the GTS tribute of the new coupe tail end, though Chuck made a good point of them looking different like the RT/10 and the GTS.

The first pic is perfect IMO. It helps keep the Viper on the wild side and looks fantastic. The original RT/10 had a clean looking rear, but it did not look like ANYTHING else on the street from the rear. I have spotted SRT verts from the back but was never sure it was a Viper until I was close enough. It blends into the norm a bit too much.

F355,
I personally like the look of the '06 better b/c we need something a least a little different from the '03/05's. The rear "flaps" almost look like weather protection or something along those lines.
The Firepower though has some great rear lines, I hope DC builds it.

On the second pic, move the gas cap to the same location as a Gen II and then see if helps the look from that view.

I think the second one is less aggresive when looking directly behind it. I would guess you could drive up on it and not realize it is a Viper, ok assuming you can catch it.

Yup, a wing on that would make the car look even hotter. Is it bad that I like the SRT back on the Coupe and the Coupe back on the SRT? LOL!!!

I like the Coupe's rear end better. The Convertibles tail lights are too big.

Has anyone done a photoshop like this on a Gen I/II RT/10 with a GTS rear end?
