Who\'ll be 1st to put Falconer in Viper?

How about 600 cuin, 1100 HP and about 200 lbs lighter than v10...........

Oh, and for the uninformed, 12 cylinders of smokin' small block Chevy ...........

....(drool, drool, drool, ..........)

...and then there is the price (...OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!)

If I ever have a spare $200k, I will do this......

Why?

I would just love to push the gas pedal to the floor at 100 mph and go sideways!

Happiness is .... sideways at 100!

Re: Who\'ll be 1st to put Falconer in Viper?

are you the guy who has been talking to Ryan?

I talked with them and they said there was this Viper guy who has been talking about it for a while.....

The thing that gets me is that this engine is probably

200 pounds

lighter than the v10!

You would probably have to run a Liberty Prostock Transmission and a Ram Prostock clutch... and maybe some kind of Fab9 Ford rear?

hubba hubba!

Frankly, that last I heard they were $50k. When I heard they were now $70k, that kinda was the writing on the wall.

You know, it may just be cheaper to build high rpm engines with low torque. Boy, that torque sure carries a weight penalty with it. Look at how heavy diesel truck engines are (gulp!)

And another point. Have you noticed that the best hightech performance ideas usually come from trucks? If you see something different on a truck, the chances are that it would be a good speed innovation on a race car. For instance, fuel injection, supercharging, turbocharging, roller cams, oil spray on piston bottoms, direct combustion chamber injection, and hockey puck clutch disks are the ones I'm familiar with.

Tom,

Not sure, but I don't think we're the ones talking to Ryan. We talk to a lot of guys about "customization" but he doesn't come to mind.

Tranny's are the hardest decision but the rear end is not a problem. How about a double wishbone, Dana independant, 13" 6 piston Alcons, with the rear wheels totally adjustable, for a true 4 wheel alignment?

Talk about a monster for the "Silver State Classics!"

Aahhh, "THE" Ryan. That went right over my head at 12,000 RPM! I will check out E-Bay!

[edit] Searched E-Bay and found nothing- tried the web, like wise, but I'll keep looking. I just wonder who will be first to stuff a "falconer" in an engine compartment..a Cobra owner or a Viper owner?
