Why is car running hotter when moving?

What if we turn on the AC but set the temp control on hot? Then the fan will run constantly and use the heater core as an additional radiator. The only downside I can think of is the AC lines would probably freeze up as nothing is transfering heat to it.

I don't think those "temp controls" actually adjust temp control, do they??:dunno:

Correct amundo on AC temp control. All that knob does is adjust water flow to the heater core via that valve on top of the heater core with the cable going to it.

Ok, if that's the case then you're saying that with the temp control on full hot and the AC on you're opening the valve that allows engine coolant into the heater core right? Then if the AC is on at the same time the refrigerant is also circulating around the heater core and would cool it. Then wouldn't you get the maximum cooling effect?

Two separate areas in the air duct system. The blower only blows over the AC or the heater, but not both together, as they are not in line with each other in the airway.
