Something has to be wrong with that car or the owner justs wants to get rid of it fast for some quick cash..Price doesnt make sense any other way I can see at the moment.

if you are buying, this is a great time for sure...if you need money, well, then you have to sell...no buyers = better prices...

Take a look. Built bottom end also. The build alone is $80,000 plus. Over 1,000 HP. Wonder why so cheap?

eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 320309056476 end time Oct-18-08 12:51:09 PDT)
It has been my experience with past cars, and with friends with high dollar cars (Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche) that doing mods, from body work to high end engine work does not increase the market value of the car. You do the mods because it's what you want to do. You want the look or the power. But don't expect the cost to transfer over to the value of the car because it just doesn't happen. I think the guy that traded it in or sold it found out that harsh reality. It's being sold cheap because he got fair market value for his Viper at stock. The exception to this is finding that buyer that wants that car, with those mods, and can get it cheaper than what he was going to pay to have it done. That's a rare buyer. Trading a car in to a dealer will net you zero almost every time for every dime you spent on mods. Dealers want them stock all the way down to the wheels. There are always exceptions of course but that's what they are, exceptions. That car may sell at that 60k but to be honest, I'll be suprised if it does. Have to find that right buyer who is dying for a Viper and wants those mods and has the money. Once again, you do the mods because you want them. I will likely do some to my car. It's want I want looks and performance wise, but I also understand it won't increase the market value of my car.

One of the issues with a bad, really bad economy. High end performance cars are nice to own, but getting rid of one in this type of economy can be a bear and expect to lose money. If possible, better to sit out and wait if you have that luxury.

Sad commentary.

I can't believe someone would spend $89,000 for $15,000 worth of parts and labor. What a great business to be in. Got to love these 'specialty' shops. Fair price on the car in my opinion.

Okay, I was looking into buying this where this car was traded in....well a good friend of mine works at the dealer it was traded in for a 125k car. Then they said they ain't gonna sell this so the dealer decided to wholesale it....which is the "$50k" price so buy it now..the seller here will get 10k on top of that. It is in MINT condition. The previous owner lives in IL. Btw, where this car is located is only like 15min away from me. Anybody interested I can take a look for myself for ya. Insetead of 1500hp. I was told 1300hp and dyno to the wheels at like 1100rwhp. But maybe they misunderstood.

TT cars have a VERY limited market.. USED TT cars, have an even smaller market... There would always be the question, as to who fixes the car if something goes wrong?? If you take it a local tech, he now has to figure out what RSI did, and why? Before he can fix any issues... All this done on your dime...

Very tough to price these cars.... TO ME, this car is worth LESS than a stock car.... But thats just me.. Im sue there is a market for this car at $60k. But I'd leave some reserve money available... YOu really dont know what this car is all about, until you put some miles on it..

The car being sold WILL NOT make anywhere near 1300rwhp with the Split-second ECU being used. Not to mention, it has 61mm turbos NOT the 76's referenced in the RSI package.

Have you seen it make the 1344rwhp with only 18 psi, like the add claimed? Unless the car was heavily modded by somebody OTHER THAN RSI, not a chance. RSI has already confirmed that what I have posted.

I would have to say someone just bought a problem car. I did a carcheck/carfax on it just out of curiosity and it's been through more hands than a two dollar ******. :nono:

I also heard alot of negative things about the RSI kit. Like it would leak and dump oil when your on it. But arent the new ones greatly improved?

As Kelly mentioned, the car IS NOT as represented. There is AT LEAST another 20K needed to get this car to the level of a true 1300+ build. Nevertheless, that would still be a great deal (if you didn't mind not having someone to "back their build" in case of an issue.) Few and far between ever experience the thrill of a well built TT car, and let me just say when you do...............IT'S PRICELESS:D

A local guy has talked to the dealer about buying this car. The dealer now realizes that this car IS NOT what is represented in the RSI 1500 package and they've removed the listing. It is a built, TT car. But several notches below what was being advertised.
