I think it's pretty obvious. You can't tell the history of a car as easily without talking to the owner. Of course, he could be lying, but there's nothing like being able to ask questions like, how many times did you track the car?
BTW, do let anyone and everyone drive your Viper? I...
If the history of a car matters to you, the number of owners is important. I wouldn't buy a used Viper (or other exotic) with more then three owners.

The 'ACR' label alone means very little to me. If I wanted a track tuned suspension, I would rather have a GTS with a set of Penske coil overs then an ACR. If I wanted a street car, I'd stick with the quieter softer ride of the standard suspension. If I could afford it, I'd be all over the new...
The tranny jack I bought from Harbor Freight is the cheapy scissors style floor jack. It's 79.99

SRT for me.
I bought a GTS new in 99 and a C5 Z06 new in 01. I put 40,000 miles on the Corvette and have 20,000 on the Viper.
I sold the Vette last year to get a tow vehicle. I kept the Viper - I simply like it better, a lot better. Nothing rational about that.
The Vette was disposeable...
Re: I\'m sick of haters including Viper owners
I've had mostly postivie responses to the Viper, no bad experiences at all. And, I'm always willing to pass the time of day with whomever wants to talk cars.
So, who doesn't like it when someone thinks your car is cool. I know I do. Just...
I bought an 18 foot Sloan Kwikload primarily for my lowered Z28, but it will also work for my 99 GTS. The trailer is wide enough for the Viper (as shown above) and has a nice low loading angle.

I would be concerned that cutting the springs would change the spring rates - I am assuming it will make the springs stiffer, but I don't know how much, nor whether the proportion of change front and rear could be the same or different - not sure what that would do to handling blance.
So it...
I'm with the for looks only crowd, unless your pads 'out-gas' the slots or holes (which are designed to break up a potential gas layer between the pads and the rotors) won't do anything for actual brake performance.
Most high performance pads don't out-gas anymore (although I have heard that...
I just drove from Portland to LA to buy a car (94 Z28) and brought a cashiers check made out to the owner. The check was from Wells Fargo.
We went to the owner's Washington Mutual bank and they deposited the check, the owner signed the title, and I drove away in the car. It seemed pretty...
Corsa 3 inch here. It's perfect for me, quiet at cruise with no drone and aggressive souding under full throttle. I also tried the Corsa 2.5 inch and prefer the 3 inch. The 3 inch is throatier without rattling windows and setting off car alarms.
If you want a louder exhaust look for one of...
There are a number of posts on brake kits. I did the Stoptech front only system when it came out a few years ago. It has two piece 13 inch rotors and bigger front calipers.
The braking performance is significantly better, although I needed to try a few different pads to find some that I liked...
