Well, after all of the **** I have talked about the SRT's since they came about, I think I've gone and proven my stupidity this time! I never in a million years thought an SRT would grow on me. It did... like a fungus.

Got a call from my dealer this morning. "Dan, give me a call when you get this".
Not knowing what it was about, I went to my dealer... low and behold, there is a Mamba sitting on the floor, 092 of 200. Well, We are in love! LOL

Looks like I am going to the dealer tomorrow and trading my GTS in on an SRT-10. Its definatly gonna be hard to see it go, but looking at it from the "rarity" standpoint, it will be much easier for me to later aquire another GTS in a year or two, than it will be for me to aquire a Mamba.

In the mean time, any comments or anything about the car? what to look out for VS a GTS, that kind of thing? Perhaps a couple "I told you so"?

Saw the Mamba's up close at the Conner Plant a few weeks ago and I think you're making a good decision. Enjoy, but stay loyal to Sneaky Pete!

Yes........tell them to check the cam bolt before you leave  congrats.

For sure! I just got a note from a rather unhappy Ram-SRT owner who enjoyed his truck for a whopping 80 miles before the engine went due to the cam bolt issue.... it took a whole new short block.

Enjoy the Mamba, a red-hot "Cool" ride.

Good timing. Spring is just around the corner. Just about the time you have it broken in, the weather should be perfect for a little top down cruising.
Time to take some Mamba dance lessons.

When I first saw the SRT-10 at the NY Autoshow, I kind of walked right by it w/o much of a second look. I have to agree with you, as time goes by I like it more and more. If I were deciding between a GTS and an SRT-10 today, I'd probably get the SRT-10. However, I've spent too much money on my GTS and still think it looks better...so it's here to stay.

So are you getting the Mamba or another SRT? I like the looks of the GTS but the SRT is about performance, thats why I got it. I cant wait for a srt coupe, that will be the baddest car ever

QUOTE BY FINAL GTS

My MOTHER likes the SRT. That was enough just in itself to turn me off. LOL

But Yes, I strongly agree with the SRT=Feminine comparison. After seeing a couple go through my local dealer, it is almost right down the middle. Girls and ***** Guys go for the SRT, while Real Men go for the Gen-1/2 cars.

HAHAHAHA!!! I cant believe you dug that up. Yep, I said it. GUILTY.

But yeah, signed the paperwork today, picking it up Monday. (I have to convert my car back to bone stock first)

2004 Mamba Edition, #092 of 200

I checked the MDH, and it is February 5th, 04...so I should be safe from the cam bolt issue. I also checked its VIN against the list, doesnt appear there either.

Hey good luck on the new ride. I live in the Buffalo area and hope to see you out and about. That day in September when the dealer told me my red 2004 was in was a great surprise since I didn't expect it until March and I can understand the excitement and anticipation you're feeling.

04 SRT-10; if you are in the buffalo area, have I met you before? did you go to Shane's house for the BBQ last year?

JIM- Yep, gonna mod it... more than likely nothing that wont be reversable though, like my FE.
