Advice: Looking for a Gen III/IV, question about higher mileage

Thanks for the feedback guys, seems like I need not worry much about the mileage on a Viper as long as it has been well looked after with good records, and passes a mechanical inspection.

    E85 on a Gen IV??

It's.... entertaining, but it was more fun when I was 30 than it is now that I'm 40. Looking to sell it and get a Viper finally.

    E85 on a Gen IV??

I don't know about Viper engines and E85, but I know you can advance the timing a bit with the higher octane of E85. I have an SRT-4 tuned for E85 that puts down ~475hp at the front, that's a combination of being able to run more boost as well as advance the timing a good amount because of the...

Advice: Looking for a Gen III/IV, question about higher mileage

Gents, I've decided now, in my 40th year, I will just bite the bullet and get myself a Viper finally. I'm specifically looking for a 2006+ coupe, looking to pay $35-55k depending on the year and mileage. If I get a 2006 I'd likely want to do the h/c/e and throw on some KW coilovers, 2008+ I'd...

7 min Hi Res video of 2013 Viper GTS running on the street. Ignition sounds at 4:00

Re: 7 min Hi Res video of 2013 Viper GTS running on the street. Ignition sounds at 4: Come on, really? +40hp/+40tq and -100lbs, with a 50% stiffer chassis, this car will feel very different from the Gen IV. The Gen IV was such a phenominal car, fastest production car in the world, and...

new Viper gets a mention on Top Gear

I don't recall them ever testing the 4th Gen Viper at all, and I've looked, searched, waited, wished for a long time that they would dare test the king of the 'Ring, but afaik they never did.

    800HP V10 crate engine, 650HP bolt-on kit for Gen III's, announced today

That's not surprising, it's a drag application only piece. Not usable on the street anyways, it lacks accessories and has a 12.5:1 compression ration, it's for pro drag racing teams, and they'll be buying it.

    800HP V10 crate engine, 650HP bolt-on kit for Gen III's, announced today

This seriously makes me want to buy a Gen III way more now. If it maintains the Gen III's low-end torque, and makes more power than the Gen IV stock motor, combined with the mechanical throttle, I think I'd love the Gen III 650HP setup more than a Gen IV with a full exhaust at the same power levels.

    800HP V10 crate engine, 650HP bolt-on kit for Gen III's, announced today

I'm betting the crate motor will be big bucks, $30k+, but who knows, maybe not? I hope the 650HP Gen III package comes in under $10k, seems like heads/intake manifold/throttle body/injectoirs/PCM should be do-able for under that pricetag. That's an amazing setup, can't wait to see the dyno...

    ZR-1 after ACR ring record

Neat, I for one hope the new ZR1 sets a new ring record for the stock production vehicle class. It should be able to hold the record just long enough for the 2013 Viper to snatch it back... LOL!

Which Gen IV Vipers have the off-set side stripe??

I've seen pics here of 09/10 ACRs that had SSG, black, yellow, and blue driver's stripes with matching interior accent. They weren't special editions as far as I could tell.

Dodge SRT10 or Dodge SRT10 "Viper"

Uhm, for whatever it's worth, in 2003 Dodge DID drop the word Neon from the Dodge SRT-4... that was a big point that they made to the press back then. However, that's understandable... dropping Neon makes sense, dropping Viper would be ridiculous.

Got cussed out in the viper today lol

This is why everyone with a Viper should have the Underground Racing twin turbo kit installed, so that you can blow 4 foot flames out the side in a situation like this...

Ralph Gilles and the 2010 Dodge Viper ACR-X !! 6 min vid

+1 billion I can't tell you how happy I am that the CEO of the company enjoys driving the Viper! It bodes well for the future of performance cars at Dodge, and the successor to the Viper as well.

Viper vs Evo at Blackhawk Farms

That's an Evo IX RS, I have one myself. They're lightened by about 70lbs over the typical Evo, with crank windows, manual door locks, no trunk carpeting, etc. etc., and importantly, NO ABS! They're phenominal little cars, with a moderate amount of mods they can take on just about any supercar...

Thoughts On Tire Brands for my ACR

There was a price cap on their testing, the Pirelli's must have fallen outside of that.

Why haven't we seen any Gen V info yet?

I think Dodge is playing it smart. Let the last few new legends be sold off the lots, and when they have something concrete, make a big splash. Don't dribble out information about a vehicle that doesn't even have finalized specs yet, that are subject to change, like they did with the Caliber...

Advises for land speed racer to hit 200mph (if you dare ...)

Awesome, that must have been quite a thrill! Also, the SRT-8's, Charger/Challenger/300C/Magnum, are rated to hit 165mph by the SRT team, although plenty of owners have reported 170mph+ under the right conditions. The 4th gear in the 5-speed auto revs out at 173mph... those big fat bricks are...

Thoughts On Tire Brands for my ACR

Ok, I'm not a Viper owner, so I've never run PS2's, but I do know the Nitto Invo as I have those on my Charger SRT-8. They're good tires, but they're not Nitto's high-end compound, the Nitto NT-05's are the stickiest street tire Nitto makes. The Invo's are "performance luxury tires", so they're...

My SSG with HREs, KWs, Corsa, and Cross-Drilled Rotors

Beautiful, but yah you need to get some pics in the sunshine. The sun really brings out the beauty of the SSG. I second the Q: about the Hyundai GC, how's it drive, and is that the V6 or 2.0L turbo you got?
